167/365: Prayer

At church on Sunday Mr. O learned about prayer. He was given this "prayer" rock to help him remember to pray every night and every morning. It works like this: every morning he makes his bed and leaves his prayer rock on his pillow. At night when he bumps his head on the rock, as he lays down, it will remind him to pray. While he sleeps, he puts the rock on the floor in a strategic place so when he hops out of bed in the morning he will stub his toe on the rock, which will again remind him to pray. So far he plays out this morning, and night routine and is really liking his reminders to pray.

Later I found a sheet of paper that apparently came home from church that said this:
Prayer Rock
I'm your little prayer rock and this is what I'll do. Just put me on your pillow 'till the day is through. Then turn back the covers and climb in your bed. And "WHACK," your little prayer rock will hit you in the head. Then you will remember as the day is through, to kneel and say your prayers as you wanted to. Then when you are finished, just dump me on the floor. I'll stay there through the night to give you help once more. When you get up in the morning, "CLUNK," I'll stub your toe. So you will remember your  morning prayers before you go. Put me back under your pillow when your bed is made. Your clever little prayer rock will continue to be your aid. Because your Heavenly Father cares and loves you so. He wants you to remember to talk to him, you know.
